Sacramento police are investigating a kidnapping and carjacking that occurred early Tuesday on Florin Road, between Interstate 5 and Freeport Boulevard.
The crime was reported at 12:23 a.m. in the 1300 block of Florin Road. The victim told officers that she was stopped and looking for her cellphone in her car when she was approached by an individual she did not know.
