An 83-year-old woman was injured Thursday morning when she was knocked down in a Lincoln parking lot by a man who then stole her car.

Police were called to the parking lot at a CVS store on Lincoln Boulevard about 9:45 a.m. regarding a stolen vehicle. The victim was getting into her vehicle when a man grabbed her, threw her to the ground and took her keys from her hand, according to a Police Department Facebook post. The man then drove off in the woman’s vehicle, heading southbound out of the parking lot.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Her vehicle is a black, 2016 Ford Escape with a paper “Future Ford” dealership plate.

The carjacker is a white or Hispanic man, possibly with facial hair, who appeared to be in his 50s, according to the news release. He is described as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing a gray or black hooded sweatshirt.

Police released a surveillance photo showing the suspect and ask anyone who recognizes the man, or who spots the stolen vehicle, to call 916-645-4040.
