Watch burglary suspect wind up, throw heavy bucket through window on Auburn street
Auburn police are looking for two men seen robbing a business Jan. 13 in the 800 block of Lincoln Way.
Surveillance video shows that shortly before 4 a.m., two men walked by the building and pointed to something in a large window. They continued walking past the store, but one of the men – the one who who appeared more animated about whatever was on display – later lugged a large white bucket back to the scene.
The man paused in front of the window, looked around him, then suddenly began spinning like a discus thrower before launching the bucket into the window.
He removed multiple items from the store before running north, chased by his friend, who stopped briefly outside the window to take a look himself but did not appear to take anything. Both suspects allegedly fled in a small silver sport-utility vehicle or white vehicle.
The suspect who threw the bucket into the window had a mustache, appeared to be Latino and wore a gray sweatshirt, white T-shirt, dark pants and black shoes and gloves. His possible accomplice is believed to be a white man in shorts and a dark sweatshirt, hat, shoes and socks.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Auburn Police Department dispatch at 530-823-4234 or Detective Carlos Castaner at 530-823-4237, Ext. 238.
