A 58-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease has been found safe, according to Citrus Heights police.

Anthony Aka was reported missing Wednesday by family members who last saw him about 3:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of Cowboy Way, according to the Silver Alert sent out about 8:30 p.m. He can become easily disoriented as a result of his condition, according to the alert.

The Citrus Height Police Department previously issued a Silver Alert after Aka disappeared in May 2017. He was found safe the next morning in Rancho Cordova.

Police and other public agencies use Silver Alerts to broadcast information about missing people, especially seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia or other disabilities, in hopes of a safe reunification.
