Security guard attacked with pepper spray at Roseville Galleria

Police and fire personnel were called to the Galleria at Roseville on Monday evening after a security guard was attacked with pepper spray.

Dee Dee Gunther, Roseville Police Department spokeswoman, said officers responded at 7:58 pm. regarding a report that four individuals had approached a security guard at the Apple store in the Galleria and sprayed the guard with pepper spray. The four then fled.

Gunther said it was not known whether the incident was a robbery attempt.

Fire department personnel were working to ventilate the area and treat people for the effects of pepper spray. Gunther said she did not know how many people were affected.
