Sacramento County Coroner’s deputies have released the name of the Rancho Murieta man who was pronounced dead after his motorcycle hit a barbed wire fence Sunday south of Folsom.
He was identified as 60-year-old Gary Neal Perkins.
Perkins was traveling northbound on Scott Road, south of Boys Ranch Road, about 8:45 p.m. Sunday when for reasons not known to investigating California Highway Patrol officers his 2000 Harley-Davidson went off the pavement. The right side of his motorcycle struck a cattle fence, ejecting Perkins from his vehicle.
Perkins, who suffered head trauma, was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s website lists his death as undetermined.
