Armed robbery near McClatchy High School leaves one injured

A man was hospitalized following an armed robbery at Round Table Pizza near C.K. McClatchy High School on Saturday night.

At 9:04 p.m., officers responded to 911 calls of a robbery on the 3000 block of Freeport Boulevard, said Sgt. Vance Chandler, Sacramento Police Department spokesman.

When they arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene with stolen property, Chandler said. Officers found one victim with a gunshot wound who was later transported to the hospital. The injury was not life threatening.

Officers are searching the area and the investigation is ongoing, he said.
