Bicyclist seriously injured in collision on Northgate Boulevard
Sacramento police are investigating a collision involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle on Northgate Boulevard in the Gardenland area.
The collision was reported about 7:10 p.m. The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to a Police Department Twitter post. The motorist remained at the scene.
As of 8:30 p.m., police reported that southbound Northgate Boulevard was closed to traffic at Harding Avenue. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
