Police identify man killed in Roseville collision on Baseline Road
The man who died in a three-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Roseville has been identified by police as 37-year-old Andrew Lasse Wait of Roseville.
The crash was reported at 4:49 p.m. on Baseline Road, east of Watt Avenue. The driver of a 2013 Hyundai Electra sedan was traveling eastbound on Baseline road when he collided with the car in front of him, a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by Wait, according to a Police Department news release. The impact caused the Corolla to spin into the westbound lane of Baseline Road, where it was struck by a westbound 2003 GMC pickup.
Wait was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the news release said. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to a hospital with a complaint of pain., while the driver of the pickup reported no injuries according to a police.
Investigators found no indication that alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision, the news release said.
Baseline Road was closed until about 5:20 a.m. Saturday due to the investigation.
