A 16-year-old girl was arrested Tuesday in Auburn after she allegedly advertised prescription drugs for sale on social media.
The Auburn Police Department was notified of the social media post, and a school resource officer contacted the girl, a Confluence Continuation High School student, about 11:30 a.m. at the school. Twenty tablets of a prescription-only controlled substance were found in the student's possession, according to a Police Department news release.
The student was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall.
The girl's name was not released because she is a juvenile.
