A Foothill Ranch Middle School teacher is being investigated for allegedly engaging in inappropriate conduct with a student, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
Twin Rivers Unified officials became aware Friday of the allegations through social media and contact with the principal at the Foothill Farms school, said district spokeswoman Zenobia Gerald.
The matter was immediately turned over to local law enforcement and the teacher was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, she said.
“The district is cooperating fully with the investigative process,” Gerald said.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Lisa Bowman would only confirm the department is investigating the allegations and that no arrest has been made.
“These types of cases don’t take a long time to investigate,” she said. “I hope that shortly we can either confirm or deny (the allegations).”
