A 22-year-old man from Antelope was arrested last Friday after police say he tried to have sex with a 13-year-old girl he met online,

Roseville Police Department officers arrested Aleksandr Anatolyevich Rudenko on suspicion of arranging and going to a meeting with a minor for the purpose of lewd and lascivious behavior. He remained in South Placer County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail Thursday morning.

Undercover officers contacted Rudenko online pretending to be a 13-year-old girl after receiving information that he had made inappropriate advances on other minors, according to a Roseville Police Department media release distributed Wednesday. Rudenko arrived in Roseville around noon on May 4 intending to engage in sexual activity with the girl, but was instead arrested.

Police are asking anyone with information about crimes that might involve Rudenko and minors to email Detective James Aguirre at jaguirre@roseville.ca.us.
