A 5-year-old girl and her parents were killed during a Mother's Day shooting in a Stockton home, the city's Police Department announced early Monday morning.
They were identified by the San Joaquin County Coroner's Office as Kayleen Lor, 5, Joe Lor, 22, and Gina Xiong, also 22.
Two other men, believed to have familial ties, remained in the hospital after suffering gunshot wounds but are expected to live, said Joseph Silva, a department spokesman.
“The family was there celebrating Mother’s Day," Silva said. "The information that we have is that the shooter was outside the residence and fired while the victims were inside.”

Officers responded to the incident at around 10:18 p.m. Sunday after neighbors called to report a shooting at the area of 11th and Belleview streets. An alert from ShotSpotter, a gunshot detection sensor, was also sent to police, Silva said.
The girl's father died at the scene, while the other victims were rushed to the hospital. There the mother and the girl later died, a watch commander's report about the incident said.
Police said they did not have any information about a suspect or a motive as of Monday morning. The San Joaquin County Coroner's Office did not immediately provide the victims' names Monday morning.
