The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of robbing pharmacies in Kings Beach, Colfax, Incline Village and Reno.
The most recent robbery was Saturday in Kings Beach on Lake Tahoe’s north shore. The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. when the robber walked into a Rite Aid at 8245 North Lake Blvd. and brandished a handgun.
The man, who was wearing a light-blue surgical mask, demanded Norco and methadone, said Dena Erwin, the sheriff’s public information officer, in a news release. After receiving the pills, he left on foot.
On May 1, a robber believed to be the same man robbed the pharmacy inside the Sierra Market in Colfax. He was wearing a surgical mask and asked for the same pills.
