An Orangevale man accused of making criminal threats has been arrested by Roseville police.
Since Tuesday night, Collin John Box, 51, made several calls to Roseville police officers, threatening to kill officers, and blow up Roseville High School and the Westfield Galleria, according to a Police Department news release.
Officers recently seized a firearm that Box unlawfully had in his possession and they were concerned that he might have access to other firearms, officials said. In his calls, Box also claimed to have access to explosives, police said.
Because of his bizarre behavior and violent nature of the threats, the Roseville-Rocklin Regional SWAT team assisted in his arrest Wednesday morning, police said. Box was stopped while driving away from his auto service business in the 700 block of Atlantic Street, and was taken into custody without incident.
