Police offer $1,000 for information on serial robberies in North Sacramento
The Sacramento Police Department is looking for a man who has committed at least six armed robberies since October at businesses in North Sacramento.
The robberies on the 4100 block of Norwood Avenue took place between Oct. 9 and Nov. 21 and another robbery took place in the 3700 block of Truxel Road on Nov. 27, according to a news release issued by the police department.
During the robberies, a thin man covering his face brandished a black semi-automatic pistol to coerce employees into giving him money before fleeing the scene, according to the release.
On multiple occasions, the robber was seen on surveillance cameras wearing a black hoodie with a camouflage pattern. For most of the robberies, he wore black sneakers with white soles. He covered his face with a white mask, a dark mask and a hood on different occasions, according to the release.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robberies to call 916-264-5471 for a possible reward of up to $1,000.
