A man was arrested on suspicion of poaching Saturday night after fishing trout out of an Arden-Arcade park’s pond.

Igor Gusar, 29, poached at least 19 trout from the pond in Howe Community Park, which is stocked for legal fishing, police said.

Gusar was on probation for previous fish and game violations and had been prohibited from owning fishing rods and gear, according to the Fulton-El Camino Park District Police Department.

Gusar was arrested for, among other things, carrying a concealed dagger, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, giving false identification to officers and cruelty to animals, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

Gusar pleaded no contest to poaching and taking fish for egg harvesting in September and pleaded guilty to drunken driving in April 2009.

He is currently being held without bail at the Sacramento County Jail.
