A teenage girl was shot behind Best Buy on Arden Way on Tuesday, police say
A girl was shot behind the Best Buy on Arden Way on Tuesday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
She was transported to the hospital and had surgery to treat injuries that were not life-threatening, said Sacramento Police Officer Linda Matthew in a phone interview.
The name of the victim was not given by officials.
Officers from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and the Sacramento Police Department responded to the call. Deputy Shaun Hampton of the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department said several officers were on the scene investigating as of 9 p.m.
Many shell cases were found at the scene, Hampton said.
