‘Unattended cooking’ cause of house fire in Carmichael
A house fire in Carmichael was knocked out by the Sacramento Fire Department on Thursday morning.
The fire on Markley Way, which occurred about 6 a.m., was caused by the resident’s “unattended cooking,” the Sacramento Fire Department said in a tweet. The resident evacuated the home without help from fire officials.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the scene for traffic control in the area at around 6:20 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
