Teen dies when car drives into Delta slough
A car drove into a Delta slough over the weekend, killing the 16-year-old driver of the vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol said that about 9 p.m. Sunday the driver, Tony Ludricks, of Isleton, was on Brannan Island Road, about a mile west of Jackson Slough Road, when his car traveled off the roadway into the water.
Ludricks drowned but a 20-year-old passenger was able to swim to safety.
