A man convicted of sexually assaulting a woman on the campus of an Antelope-area school in 2012 has been sentenced to 75 years to life in prison.
Demarea Brown, 23, was convicted by a jury in July 2014 of two counts of rape, one count of forced oral copulation and one count of kidnapping, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release. He was sentenced Friday by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Shellyanne Chang.
In November 2012, Brown encountered a woman walking on the grounds of a middle school after dark. He punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground. He then forced the victim into a secluded location on the school grounds, away from security cameras, and sexually assaulted her, authorities said.
