Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who may have information regarding shots fired Tuesday in a Rancho Cordova shopping center.

The shooting occurred about 11:30 a.m. on Los Palos Drive near a See’s candy shop and a KFC restaurant, according to Sgt. Lisa Bowman, police spokeswoman. No one was injured, she said, but shots reportedly were fired from a silver van that left the area at a high speed.

Police released a photo of a man who was seen riding a bicycle away from the area after the shooting and who they say may have information vital to the investigation.

The man was wearing a gray hooded, zippered sweat shirt, a white T-shirt and dark jeans.

The man was last seen riding northbound on Dawes Street, away from the shopping complex.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s communications center at (916) 874-5115.
