A Rancho Cordova man has been indicted for allegedly receiving child pornography.
A federal grand jury returned an indictment Thursday against Eric Worrell, 57, charging him with receiving child porn, according to the Office of the U.S. Attorney in Sacramento.
Court documents say that a USB flash drive was found in a hallway outside the offices of the federal Department of Transportation in Sacramento, according to a press release. The flash drive, which was turned over to investigators, was determined to belong to Worrell, an employee of the federal Department of Transportation.
A review of the flash drive and Worrell’s work laptop found hundreds of child erotica and child pornography images, according to the press release.
