Three dead in late-night Stockton shooting, likely gang-related, police say

Stockton police are investigating a shooting that left three people dead early Friday morning, and which homicide detectives believe was gang-related.

The three victims were found inside a vehicle near F Street and Finland Avenue just after midnight, the Stockton Police Department said in a news release.

One male, 19, and one female, 18, were pronounced dead at the scene, while an 18-year-old male was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and died later Friday morning, police said in multiple Facebook posts Friday morning through early afternoon.

As of that time, police had not determined an exact motive or released any suspect information in the triple homicide.

Identification of the deceased will be handled by the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Stockton Police Department at 209-937-8377 or Crime Stoppers at 209-946-0600. Citizens can also leave anonymous tips through Stockton Police Department’s website, Facebook page or by texting “TIPSPD” to 274637.
