Part of H Street in East Sacramento was shut down for about three hours Tuesday evening after a motorized bicycle hit a pedestrian near San Miguel Way.
Around 5 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a call regarding the crash, department spokeswoman Linda Matthew said.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital for “major injuries,” Matthew said.
H Street was closed between 39th Street and San Antonio Way for several hours but was reopened as of 8 p.m. Police advised travelers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
