One suspect was arrested and another is still sought after an alleged attempt to remove an ATM from a grocery store and an ensuing chase through Lincoln, police said.

Officers responded about 1 a.m. to reports of a burglary at the Lincoln Food Mart on A Street. Responding officers saw a pickup fleeing the scene with its headlights off, according to a news release by the Lincoln Police Department.

After a short pursuit, the truck hit a picnic bench at a nearby park, and the vehicle’s two occupants fled on foot into a ravine, the release said.

The truck had been stolen in Roseville just before the incident, Lincoln police said.

One of the suspects was taken into custody while the other escaped, according to the release.

Police arrested 20-year-old Victor Baldwin-Gray of Palm Springs for burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, hit-and-run and resisting arrest. He was booked into the South Placer Jail.

The outstanding suspect is a white male in his 30s, approximately 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, according to the news release.
