A vehicle lost control and went belly-up in a Folsom pond Saturday morning, the city’s Fire Department said.

The driver ended up in the small pond along Empire Ranch Road at Woodhead Street, then escaped the overturned vehicle before firefighters arrived, the Folsom Fire Department said in a Facebook post. No serious injuries were reported.

It was not clear how the vehicle ended up in the pond, which is located a quarter-mile from the nearest fire station.
