Elk Grove police responded to calls of shots fired early Saturday afternoon, but authorities say they do not believe anybody was injured.

Just after noon, officers found shell casings and determined that one round struck a building in the 9100 block of Nolan Street off of Laguna Boulevard, the Elk Grove Police Department said in a Facebook post.

Crime scene investigators are processing the scene for evidence and detectives continue to investigate the incident, according to the post. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information regarding the possible shooting is urged to call the EGPD detective bureau at 916-478-8060 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357.
