One injured after car crashes into downtown Sacramento restaurant

A two-vehicle collision caused a car to crash into the side of Bangkok @ 12 Thai restaurant in downtown Sacramento on Sunday morning.

The collision at the intersection of 12th and J streets happened at 9:46 a.m., Sacramento Police Department spokesman Sgt. Vance Chandler said. One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The restaurant sustained damage to its front window and guest entryway. Glass, brick and tile littered the inside of the restaurant from the car’s impact.

The drivers of the vehicles that crashed are not suspected of being under the influence, Chandler said.
