Woman found shot and killed in Lodi park identified by police
The Lodi Police Department is investigating a homicide after a woman was found in a park Thursday morning shot to death.
Christina Cantu, 46, of Lodi was identified as having been killed sometime between midnight and 3 a.m., according to a news release issued by the Lodi Police Department.
Officers were called out to Hale Park around 10:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a woman who seemed injured and unconscious, but they determined she was dead, according to the release.
Cantu had been shot twice and succumbed to her injuries, according to the release.
Investigators currently believe a vehicle was involved in the shooting but have not identified a possible motive, according to the release.
Police have not made any arrests, but are asking anyone with information to call 209-333-6727.
