Three people were hospitalized and another was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash on Highway 65 overturned two vehicles early Friday, Lincoln police said.

Jovonna Martinez, 24, was driving a white Toyota sedan with a single passenger when her vehicle struck a Land Rover with two occupants, causing both vehicles to roll over, according to a news release by the Lincoln Police Department.

Officers arrived at the scene of the crash, near Twelve Bridges Drive, about 12:40 a.m., police said.

Martinez, who was uninjured, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into the South Placer jail.

The three other occupants were transported to the hospital for treatment, Lincoln police said. The extent of their injuries was not known, but all four people involved in the crash exited the flipped vehicles of their own accord before emergency responders arrived at the scene, according to the news release.

Photos from the scene show that airbags deployed in each vehicle.
