Police seek attempted kidnapper who reportedly exposed himself near Meadowview school

Sacramento police are looking for an attempted kidnapper after receiving reports of a man exposing himself to a minor near an elementary school Friday in Meadowview.

Around 7:30 a.m., a 13-year-old girl was walking to John Still Elementary School on John Still Drive when a man driving a silver four-door sedan pulled up and began asking her for directions, according to a news release by the Sacramento Police Department.

The girl was answering his questions when she saw that he was masturbating in the car, and she turned away and tried to walk away, according to the release.

The car drove past the girl, pulled in front of her, and the driver exited to pull her inside, police said. The girl escaped and fled to the elementary school, according to the release.

Responding officers canvassed the neighborhood but did not find the man. He was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, of medium build, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with black spiky hair and a goatee. The car he was seen driving may have been a Toyota Camry, according to the release.

Investigators are asking anyone with information related to the incident to call 916-808-5471.
