A man was arrested Tuesday after an elderly Lincoln woman was assaulted at her home in a dispute over payments for window washing, authorities said.

Erik Martinson, 38, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of hitting the woman in the face and knocking her to the ground, according to a news release by the Lincoln Police Department.

After the victim’s husband had hired the man to wash the windows at his home, Martinson appeared on Monday to confront his wife about the pay when the attack occurred, according to the release.

Martinson fled the home and was not found until traffic officers on Sun City Boulevard spotted him driving near the Kilaga Springs Lodge, according to the release.

He was arrested and booked into the South Placer jail in lieu of $250,000 bail for allegations of causing serious bodily injury to an elderly adult, according to the release.
