Two people were arrested in Lincoln on Thursday after police received reports of a shooting between relatives that led to a standoff.
Alexzander Bradley, 19, was arrested after allegedly pistol whipping someone and barricading himself inside a home, according to a news release issued by the Lincoln Police Department.
Rosalinda Ortega, 18, was also arrested on suspicion of interfering with officers while she was inside the home with Bradley, according to police.
Officers received calls around 3:20 p.m. regarding shots fired near 1st and E streets, where they found a victim who said Bradley hit him multiple times in the face with a handgun and shot at him as the victim escaped in a car, according to police.
Bradley was later found in a home with Ortega, refusing to comply with officers’ demands to exit, according to police.
SWAT and hostage negotiations teams responded to the home and Bradley and Ortega eventually surrendered peacefully, according to a news release issued by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
Bradley was booked into the South Placer Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Ortega was booked into jail on suspicion of interfering with a peace officer, according to police.
