One man dead after North Sacramento shooting

One man died on Saturday night after an afternoon shooting in North Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police responded to multiple reports of a shooting at the 200 block of Danville Way just before 3 p.m. and found an adult male with gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the department.

The man was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police say.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined, according to the release. Sacramento Police Department spokesman Sgt. Vance Chandler said no arrests have been made, but that an investigation is ongoing.
