Victim killed in North Sacramento weekend shooting identified

The man found shot and killed Saturday afternoon in north Sacramento has been identified by the coroner’s office.

Alex Spivey, 21, of Sacramento was found with gunshot wounds in the 200 block of Danville Way in Strawberry Manor after police responded to reports of shots fired about 3 p.m. Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department said.

Spivey was taken to hospital and died of his injuries later that day. Police continue to investigate and no arrests have been made, they said.
