One arrested, one injured in Florin shooting on West Stockton Boulevard

One person was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection to a Florin shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Police received calls regarding a shooting in the 7600 block of West Stockton Boulevard at 3:22 p.m., Sgt. Vance Chandler of the Sacramento Police Department said.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and first responders transported him to a hospital, Chandler said.

His injuries were not life-threatening, Chandler said.

One person was later arrested on suspicion of shooting the man, Chandler said. Police believe there was only one shooter, he said.

Investigators have determined the shooting began as a dispute between the suspect and the victim, Chandler said, but it is still under investigation.

Officers were clear of the scene as of 7 p.m., Chandler said.
