A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Stockton Monday in connection to a traffic stop Sunday night during which the suspect shot at police officers, according to the Stockton Police Department.

At about 11:10 p.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop near Airport Way and Market Street in Stockton. One passenger fled from the vehicle on foot, according to the Stockton PD. The suspect fired one round at the officers while fleeing, and the bullet hit a nearby house, officials said.

Officers did not find the suspect during a search of the area but did find a loaded handgun and one bullet casing in the area where the suspect fled, officials said.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.
