Roseville High football coach investigated for alleged inappropriate touching, police and district say

Police are investigating allegations of inappropriate touching involving a Roseville High School football coach and a student, according to the Roseville Police Department and the school district.

Roseville Joint Unified High School District and law enforcement announced Thursday a joint investigation into teacher and longtime varsity football coach Larry Cunha, as confirmed in an email by district Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services Brad Basham.

Cunha has been placed on administrative leave pending completion of the investigation, according to news releases by the Roseville Police Department and Roseville Joint Unified.

The alleged touching involves a minor and details regarding the allegations are therefore limited, the school district and police department said.

According to a page on the Roseville High School website, Cunha has been teaching and coaching at the school since 1988.
