Officers took care in their arrest of an attempted murder suspect at a Fairfield high school graduation ceremony on Thursday.
Officers waited until the suspect, Manual Antonio Rodrigues, 19, of Fairfield had left his seated position in the football stands at ceremonies honoring the graduating seniors of Rodriguez High School before arresting him.
He had been spotted in the audience by an off-duty officer at the graduation ceremony.
Rodrigues was arrested as he left the stadium on suspicion of attempted homicide stemming from a shooting on May 25, according to a Fairfield police press release.
