A boy hit while riding his bicycle Monday evening in Folsom has died in a Roseville hospital.
A Folsom police spokesman said the accident occurred about 6:45 p.m. Monday when the 11-year-old boy was crossing East Natoma Street at Cameron Drive. The boy, who was wearing a helmet, was struck by a passing vehicle.
The child was taken to a Roseville hospital with serious injuries. The boy was reported dead on Tuesday by Placer County authorities.
A message from the principal of Folsom Middle School went out to parents informing them that the boy, Calvin Suh, had died. Calvin was a student at the tight-knit school, which is not in session.

“Many of our students may have known Calvin and may be struggling with their grief or other difficult emotions,” said Principal John Bliss. “I’d encourage you to talk to your children about their thoughts and feelings as they process this news.”
The driver of the car was interviewed by traffic investigators from the Police Department’s major accident response team. Cause of the crash is being investigated, but DUI has been ruled out as a factor.
