A Silver Alert has been issued for a 81-yer-old woman who was last seen Friday when she left a family member’s El Dorado County home to drive to Oregon.
June Smith left a residence in Garden Valley about 11 a.m. to start her drive home to Gold Hill, Ore., according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office news release. Smith has traveled between the two locations many times, but she suffers from severe health problems, leading family members to become concerned when they were unable to contact her, sheriff’s officials said. They noted that her cell phone does not appear to have been used since she was last seen.
Smith is described as 4 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 125 pounds, with blue eyes and shoulder-length gray hair. She was last seen wearing white capris, a pink shirt and white Keds shoes.
Smith was driving a 2007 white Dodge Caravan with an Oregon license plate 361DNN.
