O’Brien, who was a teacher at Harper Junior High School, was arrested in November after what Davis police said was a lengthy investigation that began when they received a report about him in September.
Davis Joint Unified School District officials said the alleged incidents did not occur on campus.
O’Brien was placed on unpaid administrative leave, pending dismissal proceedings. The school board voted to accept his resignation in January. According to a story in The Sacramento Bee, O’Brien agreed to resign for a payment of $37,000, which was a portion of his unused sick leave.
