Reno man suffers severe head injuries after being struck by car in West Sacramento
A Reno man is in critical condition after being struck by a car along West Capitol Avenue in West Sacramento Friday night, according to the West Sacramento Police Department.
The collision happened at 8:21 p.m. near West Capitol Avenue and Pecan Street when the 27-year-old man was hit by a dark Toyota sedan, according to West Sacramento Police spokesman Sgt. Eric Angle. He was taken to a hospital with critical head injuries.
The driver of the sedan remained on the scene and was cooperative with police. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the incident, Angle said.
