Two arrested in Lincoln allegedly had forged checks and stolen cards, police say

Two people were arrested in Lincoln on Tuesday evening after being found with stolen identifying materials, including a credit card and a social security card.

In a news release, the Lincoln Police Department said officers received a call regarding two suspicious people in front of a business in the 2300 block of Nicolaus Road.

There, they made contact with Enrique Aguilar, 35, of Rocklin and Sasha Peterson, 33, of Lincoln, who were both on probation and subject to search by law enforcement.

Aguilar was in possession of several forged checks, a stolen credit card and drug paraphernalia, according to police. He was arrested on suspicion of intent to defraud, possession of stolen property and other offenses.

Peterson was in possession of a social security card and someone’s personal identification information, according to police. She was arrested on suspicion of intent to defraud.

Aguilar and Peterson were booked into the Placer County jail. Peterson’s bail was set at $85,000 and Aguilar’s was set at $15,000.
