FBI offering $5,000 reward for wanted man suspected of pedophilia in Sacramento area

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information regarding a man suspected of committing sex crimes against an underage girl in Sacramento County.

Jose Arturo Navarrete Jr. has been charged with four counts of lewd acts with a minor, three counts of sex with a child under 10 and four counts of oral sex with a child under 10, according to the FBI.

Navarrete, 23, has been wanted by the FBI since late August, when he was charged with fleeing prosecution and a federal warrant for his arrest was issued.

Prior to that, the Sacramento County Superior Court had issued a felony arrest warrant for him in June.

He was last seen in his home state of Texas, but investigators believe he may also be in Arizona, New Mexico or Mexico.

Navarrete has worked as a welder’s assistant and stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 172 pounds and has hazel eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Navarrete’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sacramento-area FBI office at 916-746-7000.
