South Sacramento shooting on Riza Avenue leaves one man dead
A man was shot to death Saturday morning on Riza Avenue in south Sacramento, according to Sacramento police.
Officers received a report of a shooting in the 6000 block of Riza Avenue near Stockton Boulevard around 6:10 a.m. and found the man in a black Volkswagen, according to the release. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No description of the shooter was provided, but police believe there is no active threat to the community. The investigation is ongoing.
