One woman, seven minors arrested after Friday night air gun robbery in Davis

A Woodland woman and seven minors were arrested after three people were robbed with air guns on Friday night in Davis, according to the Davis Police Department.

The victims were walking in the 500 block of E Street around 10:18 p.m. when they were approached by an armed group who demanded their personal items, according to the release. The robbers then fled on foot while the victims flagged down a passing police car.

Officers caught the suspects after stopping a white SUV leaving the area. A search of the car found the guns, which were designed to look like real guns. The eight were taken into custody.

Vanessa Montenegro Wease, 18, and the seven minors face charges of robbery and criminal conspiracy. Wease is being held at the Yolo County jail while the others were taken to juvenile hall.
