Police are on the scene of a Sunday morning shooting in Elk Grove that injured one person.

In a tweet, the Elk Grove Police Department said officers were responding to the 3300 block of Renwick Avenue due to a shooting that occurred around 9:20 a.m.

One victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He managed to drive himself to a gas station on the 2300 block of Laguna Boulevard first, according to police.

No further information was available.
