A woman was arrested Saturday evening on suspicion of attempted kidnapping after a boy was approached in the street.

In a news release, the Stockton Police Department said Felicia Galeazzi was taken into custody in connection with an attempted kidnapping near the intersection of Worth Street and Wilson Way.

A boy was playing football in the street just after 5 p.m. when a woman ran up to him, took him by the arm and tried to pull him, according to police.

The boy’s older sister came to his defense and separated the two, police said, and although the woman pursued the boy, he managed to escape.

The boy was uninjured, according to police.

Galeazzi, 38, was found and arrested by police officers. She was booked into the San Joaquin County jail.
